What is Corporate Coaching?

Organizations hire me as a coach to assist in the development of :

• individual executives or managers
• teams or work groups
• staff members

The focus of my coaching can be on:

• leadership skills
• interpersonal communication
• relationships with direct reports or superiors
• team building
• developing people for new assignments or promotions
• life-work balance and satisfaction
• improving managers' coaching skills
• a whole host of other issues on the people side of business

Coaching is not appropriate for "problem" employees who really need therapy.

Example of corporate coaching:

Catherine has a successful business. But some of her employees and teams are not performing well. She wants to inspire and improve them - not fire, hire and retrain. She hires a coach. The coach works with the employees to set goals, utilize their strengths, improve their performance, and increase their value to Catherine's business. Catherine's return on her invessment is higher employee morale and increased profits.

As an executive, you may also choose to use my coaching services to identify and work on your own professional goals. Assessments often help in evaluating the strengths and core values that drive your success and determine your goals. You and I then develop a strategy and action plan to achieve those goals.

Corporate coaching can be conducted by phone or in person. Phone sessions are usually scheduled for thirty minutes to an hour. Between sessions you will have e-mail and Fax access to me. In-person corporate coaching usually lasts up to two hours and is scheduled to accommodate your goals and the distance involved.
